LEWIS PARKE REJOINS ELLERSLIE AS RESERVES COACH

11 Jan

A surname very familiar to Ellerslie AFC, Lewis son of former Men’s Head Coach Warren Parke is coming back to Ellerslie as the head coach of our Men’s Reserves.

Lewis himself had a successful stint as a player in our Men’s Reserves, winning several Reserves Championships, being selected for 4 Napier U19 Championship teams and most memorably scoring a winning penalty against Three Kings for the Reserves in a Knockup cup final.

A former Junior player as well – Lewis’s journey as a pony started in the U7 Takahe team, he has since played for Onehunga Mangere and Uni-Mount Bohemian Celtic since leaving Ellerslie – it was at UMBCFC that he picked up a passion for coaching, he helped them with their junior/youth development pathway, including leading their in school community focused football programme, coached their senior mens reserves, assisted the Men’s First Team coach and implemented an U19’s side to Napier for the U19 Nationals for the first time.  Lewis is currently working towards his NZF B-Licence.

“Im a former Ellerslie junior and multi-championship winning reserve team player, who is excited to return to my boyhood club to coach the Senior Men’s Reserves”
Lewis Parke

We are excited to have Lewis join the club and delighted to welcome back a former Pony!
