U15 Nationals Regulations

Invitation

Ellerslie AFC has extended an invitation to all eligible teams throughout New Zealand to participate in the Ellerslie AFC U15 National Tournament. 

Our aims for this event include:

  • Bringing together youth players and their supporters from around New Zealand
  • Providing opportunities for teams to compete against opposition of a similar level from throughout the country
  • To create a national tournament for players to progress further along the youth development pathway 


Registration

To register a team entry, email Kelly Bolus – info@ellersliefootball.org.nz   by Monday 4th October 2021.

One male and one female team entry per club will be accepted into the tournament, however a second team entry may also be accepted at the discretion of the Tournament Committee if the number of team entries allow.

If two entries from the same club of the same gender are accepted, players will be ring fenced to one team & cannot play for both teams.


Payment Details

Entry Fee is $1150.00 per team (including GST), payable by Monday 4th October 2021.  Invoices will be issued to the clubs entered via Friendly Manager.

Facilities

There will be a range of drinks, coffee and hot and cold food available for purchase on site from the kiosks in the stadium.  No commercially packaged food is to be brought on site to North Harbour Stadium.

Please respect the fields and take note of the roped off areas.  Please walk around the marked fields during the tournament so the fields stay in good condition for the length of the tournament.

Only players, coaches, managers and referees will be able to access the marked fields inside the main Stadium field and the grass oval behind the stadium.  All participants must be wearing the correct footwear.  To avoid disappointment, please make sure that everyone is wearing molded sole football boots when playing on the turf fields.  Boots with metal sprigs are not permitted.

If you wish to set up a marquee for the tournament to provide your team with a base, please contact Tim Adams – chairman@ellersliefootball.org.nz to book a site.

Dogs are not allowed at the North Harbour Stadium venue, please leave them at home ?  

North Harbour Stadium is a smoke-free zone so no smoking or vaping is permitted at the venue.


Parking

There is plenty of parking available on site accessible from Stadium Drive or Oteha Valley Road.  Please avoid parking near the swimming pool as these are metered parking spaces.


Prizegiving and awards

Prizegiving will be held at the conclusion of the male final on Sunday afternoon.  Trophies will be awarded to the Championship winners of the male and female competitions and other sections of the tournament. 

MVP of the tournament – Coaches are to select a MVP from the opposing team at the conclusion of the match, advising the referee so it can be marked next to the player’s name on the team card.  There will be a male and female MVP awarded. 

There will be prizes awarded for Fair Play team award and Sportsmanship awards for male and female players, along with additional awards and spot prizes.


Postponement Date and Cancellation Notice

There is no ability to postpone the event so if games are cancelled due to extreme weather conditions, there will be a revised format provided on the day advised by the Tournament Committee.
