MENS NRFL COACHING UPDATE

Ellerslie AFC are excited to confirm the re-appointment of Ben Fletcher as Men's First Team Coach for 2026. 

After a tricky 2025 where Ben and his team didn't get the rewards on the field for the time, effort and expertise involved in the squad we are looking forward to 2026 where we can look to progress with the building blocks Ben and his team put in place in 2025 after a bit of a rebuild.

“2026 marks my fifth season in charge. We’ve built a strong culture, driven by the leaders within the group and supported by staff who’ve laid solid foundations for growth.

Next year our focus is on refining the small details and bringing greater consistency to our approach. We want to keep playing with intent and intensity, while matching that with steadiness in our performance — sharper execution, stronger cohesion, and quality at both ends of the field.” - Ben Fletcher

A key feature of Ben's tenure at the club has been the strong player first culture established in the group, which has seen the players involved in his teams improve each season, ultimately some of them have improved enough to be picked up by Northern League teams which is a testament to his work in this space. 

Ben's support staff will be announced in early 2026.
